How to do Business With the State

The Small Business (SB) and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Certification programs were established by the State of California to increase business opportunities for the SB and DVBE community. These programs help SBs and DVBEs participate on a more level playing field when competing for state contracts. At this workshop, you will learn:

  • The benefits of becoming a certified SB or DVBE
  • How to register with the State’s online procurement system, Cal eProcure
  • How to get certified as an SB or DVBE
  • How to use the State’s database to get solicitations
  • How to market your business to multiple state agencies.

If you are registered for a class and are unable to attend, please notify the Small Business Development Center at (925) 602-6840 as soon as possible as other applicants may be waitlisted. Attendee substitutions can be made at any time and at no cost. The following cancellation/rescheduling policy applies to all classes unless noted otherwise. Contra Costa SBDC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop due to insufficient enrollment.
